A Gathering of Niche Minds – The Tail of the Hungarian Burrito

Let’s say you have food truck. And you have the best chicken paprikash burritos in this hemisphere. All the flavor and slow cooked chicken thighs in the world will not get you customers. Tweeting and posting insta’s into the void is a long laborious road retitled with irrelevant subject matter and others promising you followers.  It’s a truly discouraging way to raise awareness and keep current /potential customers up to date. Now, setting aside how fantastic or terrible  Southwest-Hungarian fusion sounds to you there is a solution. Let the people come to you intentionally and purposefully.

What you need is a common place, with other food trucks. United in a common goal. Converging together at 2:00 am on a still August night where an inebriated hipster finds your in the ether, and the next night you have 20 more 20 somethings lining up for Nagymama’s secret recipe snuggled in a warm flour tortilla with a side of egg noodle dumplings.

The truck next to you is selling pineapple schnitzel kabobs while the other across the way has sopapilla toped with caramel apple slices. All off you are in so called competition but offer very different things. These trucks gathering together benefits the owners as well as the hungry.

Sure enough, the next day all of them will be on their preferred route but the 20 somethings have you on their radar, and will grab a burrito when you tweet a location a short scooter ride away.

DyeDir is a gather place. We are the parking lot to the metaphorical food truck. The place by which you may be discovered. So you can then engage customers on their and your terms. From Etsy, to Instagram and your website. We are not selling your yarn or designs. We do not take a cut. We are a fiber place.
